Greetings from the Kitchens of the Galaxy!
Summer is here and that means that the Patio at the Galaxy is in full swing.
Live music, fantastic food and drinks are all part of the Patio that has been voted "Best of the Best" in the Akron Beacon Journal's annual reader poll. We serve lunch on the patio, weather permitting, all through the week and have a full menu available for your dining pleasure each and every night. I encourage you to stop in and join the fun!
In other news let me tell you that you need to join us for the Annual Galaxy Golf Outing which is just around the corner. Please check the website for all the details... but do it quickly because space is limited and it is a whiz-bang of a time!
In culinary news we are happy to report that Fresh Fish Friday is going like gangbusters. Along with our Fresh Bay of Fundy Salmon, PEI Mussels, Sea Scallops and all the other fresh fish and seafood we carry we are making sure that we have something new and spectacular each and every weekend.
Black Pearl Salmon from Scotland (Some of the best fish I have ever had!!), Sea Bass from Chile, Halibut, Swordfish, MahiMahi..... the list goes on and on.... await you for a dining experience that is truly top notch. All you have to do is check the website to see what catch we have caught for your dining pleasure.
Each and every day we have our dinner menu posted as early as 3:00PM so that you can make your dinner plans.... and we sure hope that YOURS include any one of the Special spaces at the Galaxy. Patio, Sports bar, Wine room or The Circle L Steakhouse.
Being Sommelier, as well as Executive Chef, I would be remiss if I didn't mention that we have brought some new varietals to our already stellar (pun intended) wine list.
Viogner, Carignan and Gruner Veltliner have been all the buzz in the wine world and we are offering them by the bottle AND the glass at the Galaxy.
Viogner is a welcome change to Chardonnay with it's wonderful floral and citrus notes and a perfect compliment to seafood.
Carignan is a red grape that walks the line between Pinot Noir and Merlot....fantastic with food and a flair that reminds you of some of the High Profile wines of Spain.
Gruner Veltliner is all the rage in the wine world. A cross between Pinot Blanc, Pinot Grigio and Riesling it is truly "Summer in a Glass"
With our new program of Three Ounce Pours (half glasses) you can customize a tasting that will literally take you around the world..... stop by and let me show you what it is all about.
